YEAH! As soon as I read the news on another site, I had to come over here and comment. I am so happy for Thayne. The more I think about it, the more I came to believe he was shafted with partner and dance selection (early on esp *king/courtesan dance* anyone?). Reading both of the reactions from Thayne and Comfort to the announcement really warmed my cold, bitter heart.

Any guesses on who the other two alternates will be? My guess is a contempo guy, but would it be Matt or Marquis? No clue on the girls...Chelsea maybe?

I'm thinking Matt and Kourtni, ONLY b/c both were popular dancers and were top 14, after all. I guess Marquis is a possibility, but we didn't get to know him very well. I liked Chelsea; she might be fun on the tour.

The other two will probably be the two poppers that will be battling on the finale. Robert Muraine and Philip Chbeeb . They've been promoting them and they would be a much better addition to the tour than any of the other dancers.

The extra four dancers have to take on the other dances in case someone gets sick/hurt. I don't think Philip or Robert would be able to sub in for anything.

they may guest, but i would be radically surprised if they took on a grueling tour for what amounts to peanuts.

I am SO happy for Thayne!!

I hope he gets to dance Mandy's Contemporary with a Contemporary girl. If Matt is also included on tour, maybe a Mia piece for Thayne and Matt...

Great news for Comfort, Thayne and whoever else ends up as alternates. I was more taken aback by the part in the article where Nigel told an audience member who was screaming for Gev that he would be going home soon anyway. What a jerk. And does he care that stuff like this gets back to the dancers? I'll be voting for Gev next week just to cheese Nigel off. I mean, I like him anyway but still.

Since Nigel (by hearsay) was quoted: "saying Gev would "go home" eventually" I took it to mean, "calm down, he'll be home eventually, and you'll get your chance then. (Or alternately, "he'll be home eventually, not embarrass yourself too much now and have to deal with it later!)

context is everything, eh?

I'm happy to hear that Comfort and Thayne will be on the tour. Honestly, I thought both dancers got the shaft this season. I mean, my heart dropped for Comfort watching that Lil C' routine he made for Twitchington. Why didn't he choreo anything even half as good as that for Comfort and Chris?

And poor Thayne. That horrible Mandy Moore routine really just ruined his whole run in this competition. After the terrible Mandy and Lil C routines, Comfort and Chris could have found the cure for all the world's diseases and still wouldn't have made the top 10.

Anyways, at least they get to go on the tour.
